Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has revealed that he is extending Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s deal by an extra year until 2018.
This has come amid rumours that Zlatan was ready to quit the Old Trafford outfit for Major League Soccer in the United States.
The Zlatan situation is simple, he has one year plus another year at the club and we are happy with him,” Mourinho said.“We are going to execute the extra year option. In two years’ time he will be free. He is happy and he is committed. It’s the last big challenge of his wonderful career.”
Ibrahimovic penned a one-year deal with the Red Devils after four trophy-laden seasons at Paris Saint-Germain, and Mourinho has confirmed that the club will now extend his stay by another season.
