Scared she was, when a horrifying experience took place as South African singer, Yvonne Chaka Ckaka escaped a near death experience.

The singer had gone out and was caught In between an exchange of gun fire between hijackers and the police.

According to the news, she was next to the police officers when the shooting began, which left the singer in a terrified mood.

It was said that 3 hijackers has stolen a Mercedes-Benz panel van in Centurion and police gave a chase which led to a shootout.

During the shootout two of the hijackers was shot but one died at the scene while third was able to escape unharmed.

According to the police spokesman, Lieutenant Lungelo Dlamini, no police officer were injured as only a vehicle was damaged.

Talking about the incident, the singer said: “I respect life, you could be anywhere minding your business, and anything can happen.”
