President Muhammadu Buhari has finally returned from his 14days vacation on Sunday after visiting the United Kingdom for a leave rest.
It was learnt that when one of the State House correspondents asked to know the state of his health at the airport, he replied in hausa language by saying, “You know I am taller than you. Do you want to wrestle me?” an indication that he wasn’t that sick like it was rumoured.
“I am okay. You can see me inspecting the guard of honour. You have seen me, you saw me when I was going. You can do the assessment yourself,” he said.
Buhari who was in the company of his two children and a few aides including Alhaji Mamman Daura was welcomed by the Zamfara State Governor, Abdulaziz Yari; the Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello; some members of the Federal Executive Council, top government officials, federal lawmakers and service chiefs.
He also had a closed door meeting with top government officials who came to welcome him at the airport.
Speaking about the Presidents return, the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Mr. Femi Adesina said the President will startup his official duties again on Monday.
“The President is going to resume work tomorrow. The Vice-President had said he would arrive today and he has arrived, then work starts in earnest tomorrow,” he said.
He also made it known that the President’s reason for traveling to Uk was not for a medical treatment but for a rest. But was advised by experts to see a doctor since he was going to the UK.
He commended those Nigerians who have good mind towards the President and appealed to those who have a negative mindset to try and change their attitude and give their full support because it shall be better.
