Nigerian celebrity fashion designer Yomi Casual who is the last born of the Makun family and younger brother of comedian AY has come out to redeem his image after his response to a fan that begged for money.

Yomi who was not touched by the plea of the young girl in a bid to collect money from him had issued that why will the girl have data bundle on her phone yet she and her brother are hungry.

Many fans just saw this as a good response to the beggar while others have since then troll the designer saying he was rather too arrogant.

Yomi has spoken concerning this through an interview with Saturday Beats he declared that the reason he has refused giving out money to those that ask on social media is because they are not real.

He also said that he prefers empowering people rather than giving money because they will slide to ask from another person as soon as he gives to them, he said that they do this because they are beggars.

“We all have problems. I am still a small boy and I cannot solve the problems of everyone on Instagram. Even people bigger than me cannot solve their problems. A problem that the government cannot solve am I the one to solve it? I would give out money tomorrow to someone and the same person would move to D’banj’s page or Harrysong’s.

This is what we face every day, how long are we going to keep doing this. At some point, you would get tired. Even if you keep approaching your church or pastor for money at some point they would get tired and advise you to find something lucrative to do. I would have appreciated it if the girl had sent me a message asking me to empower her.

I am sure that if I had told the girl that I had a job for her, she would not come for the job and the reason is that they are used to begging. It has already become a lifestyle for them. Some people are used to shame. Even if I had offered her a job, she would still not accept the job. At the end of the day, you cannot explain to everybody,” he said.

Yomi also added that to all those that are saying bad against him and different bad name because they have just chosen to hate him and at the mention of his name they just feel hate without any cause.
