Just when Gambians thought their nightmares are over a new problem emerges.
The British Broadcasting Corporation has recently announced that ex-president of Gambia, Yahya Jammeh left the country bankrupt.
11 million dollars was declared missing from the country’s treasury.
After been defeated by Adama barrow in the December 1st election, this could have been the pay back Yahya planned for the country.
Gambians might are said to be in financial distress as a result to this.
Adviser to President Adama Barrow, Mai Ahmad had this to say:
“There is no money in the coffers. It’s what we have been told. But the day we actually take office, I will take a look at all the documents and evidence and we will clarify all of it”.
