A team of seven contractors employed by World Bank on an assessment to Egbe Dam, where unlucky when four drowned as the boat capsized.
Egbe Dam in Ekiti seems to be the biggest dam in the state and among the deceased is said to be the son of the Team Leader.
The bodies of those that had drowned were retrieved by the local fishermen and have been deposited at the mortuary in Ode-Ekiti.
Aside the tragic accident that took the life of four, the remaining three occupants survived because they were putting on Life jackets while the deceased didn’t.
