One Patience Reveth, has been sentenced to one year imprisonment by Oredo Magistrates’ Court for beating and bathing her neigbour with hot pepper.
The 34-year-old woman was brought before Magistrate Mrs. RacheaI Ogbevoen
The presiding Magistrate, RacheaI Ogbevoen gave her an option of N25,000 as fine
According to the Prosecutor, the offence which is contrary to Section 355 of Criminal Code was committed by the accuse Nov, 2014 at first East Circular Road in Benin.
He said that Reveth beat Tunde, the victim with cane and bath her with pepper which resulted to a lot of bruises on her hand as well as neck.
Meanwhile, the accused admitted guilty of the charges leveled against her before the actual judgment was passed
