Like the popular saying, ‘a tree cannot make forest’, and because of this reason, people come together to make things happen in almost every spheres of life.
In the entertainment industry, an artiste does not become great without the effort of some people. Those who make the beats do their best in making the tunes sound catching to listeners, while the music engineers also do their best to ensure each sound synchronises with one another.
Even with great tune and music, the artiste still gets some other people involved in making the song acceptable to listeners. This is where the record label comes handy in helping with the growth of the artiste, while they hope to make money from him later on.
However, recently in the Nigerian music industry, artistes have been leaving their labels to establish theirs.
Not too long ago, Samklef, a music producer who was instrumental in doing beats for Wizkid’s hit songs, lashed out at him. He accused the singer of living a life not appropriate, saying he does not like the way he smokes.
But in a swift response, Wizkid, who took to his social media page to address the issue, says he has no issue with his former producer because he (Samklef) remains his ‘borther’. He wondered why the music producer would pick on him because he (Samklef) was at his (Wizkid) house about two weeks ago.
Wizkid added that he has learnt another lesson from the incident.
