Wizkid is one of Asake’s music inspirations
Grammy-winning artist, Ayo Balogun “Wizkid” is one of the singers who have impacted the music of Afrobeats sensation, Asake.
The disclosure was made by Asake ahead of the release of his collaboration with Wizkid on the track “MMS” (Mr Money Sound).
The singer tagged Wizkid as his musical inspiration since his early days as an up-and-coming artist.
He wrote, “It’s no secret that Wizkid is one of my music inspirations. As a young striving artiste in Lagos, I’ve been waiting for that right song so when the opportunity came it was a no brainer.
“‘MMS’ stands for ‘Mr Money Sound’ and it explains my music journey.”
