Ugandan music fans who had hoped to see Nigerian superstar, Wizkid, in concert were left in utter disappointment as the Starboy failed to show up.
According to a statement issued by the organisers, Wizkid was unable to fly into Uganda from USA due to ‘unavoidable circumstances’.
The concert was originally scheduled to take place on Saturday, December 3 at Lugogo Cricket Oval in Kampala with thousands having bought tickets in anticipation.
Although the singer apologised for his no-show, rumours on social media suggested that Wizkid might have cancelled his travel plans after the recent crisis in Kasese, Uganda which led to the deaths of about 14 police officers and 41 suspected attackers.
