Popular Nigerian hip hop singer, Wizkid has been nominated for the first time at the 59th Grammys courtesy of the 2016 Drake album, Views.
The award covers the main artist, the featured artiste(s), the producer, the engineer and/or mixer and the mastering engineer.
Grammy has been known as the most coveted awards that anyone who gets a nomination would know that he has really done a great job.
It was introduced in 1959 by the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences of the United States to honor artistic achievement, technical proficiency and overall excellence in the recording industry, without regard to album sales or chart position.
It was gathered that the star artist may receive two awards in the Grammys – for featured artist and song production
It will be record breaking if Wizkid gets the prize on February 12, 2017 when the ceremony will hold as he will be the first Nigerian to have been nominated for such an award.
