An angry commercial bus driver, Solari Oputa, threatened to kill his wife, Keji and he will go scot free is in deep trouble.
The man had beaten her with iron rod and also strangled her in an attempt to kill her.
Oputa committed the offences on Oct. 10 at his house, according to Police Prosecutor Innocent Uko.
“They had an argument and the accused started beating and threatening to kill his wife.He boasted that nothing would happen if he killed the woman.”
The offences contravened Section 56 (a) and 411 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2011. He was on Monday brought before a Badagry Chief Magistrates’ Court in Lagos State on a two-count charge. He is being tried for assault and threat of life.
