Fast-rising music producer, Bennet OmonelumeIkanade-Agba, also known as Prince Boom, is one among many who believe the reason why some producers become musicians themselves is because they feel cheated.

Prince Boom is the brain behind Sean Tizzle’s hit banger, ‘Sho le’.

He told News Watch that for producers to decide to pick up the microphone to do the job of those they produce for, many things may have gone wrong. Prince Boom stressed that the lack of structure to pay producers royalties have forced his colleagues to become singers.

“I don’t blame producers who eventually become singers because it’s like you work hard for a song and somebody is not giving money for it because there is no structure to give you royalty or percentage.

“So, I don’t think it’s their fault because they are just trying to increase their income and take care of their family,” the young producer, who has worked with some notable names in the music industry such as Iyanya, Young Girl and Ajebutter, Wande Coal and Ice Prince, said.
