Why I’m not in rush to be on Asake, Rema’s level – Victony

Nigerian singer Anthony Victor, aka Victony has given the reason he is not under pressure to reach the same level of fame as his colleagues, Rema and Asake.

He stated this while reacting to the claims by some social media users that his debut album ‘Stubborn’ wasn’t “commercially successful” because he didn’t have “haters” to post negative comments that will make it trend on social media.

Victony described the assumption as dumb while stressing that the expectations for the album were unrealistic given his current position in the music industry.

Victony addressed this on his X handle, stating, “Lmao, Victony need more haters gotta be the dumbest sh*t I seen cos what’s the rush? Everyone wanna be Rema and Asake in 2 hours?”
