Why I Took Break From Acting – DKD
Nollywood actor, Daniel K Daniel, popularly known as DKD, has finally put to rest worries over his partial break from acting.
According to DKD, he stepped away from acting for sometimes because he wants to enjoy being a good father and husband to his family.
The actor who is currently based in the United States of America disclosed that, “I think what happened to me in a nutshell is family. I took time off to raise my kids and build my family. In 2019, I had a wonderful baby boy; and I have another kid as well, whom I don’t publicise as much.
“My family is my number one priority now, But, I do visit Nigeria to film. I am partially on a sabbatical, because I returned in 2022, and I filmed eight projects. But, I took a break in 2020, and came back in 2022.
“I am back in the US now. I have to watch my boys grow and be there for them. I have to take care of them and that’s a different phase of my life. I am enjoying being a dad and husband to my amazing family.”
Furthermore, the thespian uncovered plans to start producing his own movies too.
He said, “I have my company here in the US, and I am planning to start producing movies. I am not taking a break from acting completely.
“However, I am also a database engineer. So, I do have a job in that line of my career as well.”
