Why I started acting – Kemi Ikuseedun
Content creator Kemi Ikuseedun, popularly known as Mummy Wa has disclosed why she switched to acting movies.
The actress, who is set to release a movie titled, ‘My Sunshine’ said it will debut on October 4, 2024, on her YouTube channel.
Drawing her inspiration from Korean films, Mummy Wa said the movie will bring together a unique blend of romance, friendship.
The film was directed by popular filmmaker, JJC Skillz, and produced by Ikuseedun.
Speaking on the inspiration behind the movie, Ikuseedun said, “I wanted to take things up a notch and offer something that blends different cultural influences. Many of us watch a variety of movies. While I enjoy Nigerian films, I have always had a strong interest in Korean cinema. So, I decided to incorporate elements from what I’ve watched in Korean dramas into ‘My Sunshine’.”
She also stated the belief that the film will make a bold statement in the industry, appealing to viewers who appreciate multiple genres. “This movie is different from what people are used to. It will keep viewers spellbound and hopefully, encourage people with diverse tastes to embrace something new,” she added.
The movie’s parades a star-studded cast, including Ikuseedun, Mr Macaroni, Chinedu Ikedieze, aka Aki; Juliana Olayode and Diva Gold, among others.
