Why I deleted my X page – Chidinma Adetshina
Chidinma Adetshina, the Miss Universe Nigeria 2024 explained why she deleted her X page.
The beauty queen disclosed that she uninstalled the app to protect her mental health from bullies.
Chidinma noted that she reads the comments under the posts she makes so she couldn’t afford to see very negative things said against her.
The 23-year-old explained, “I had to delete it because I felt like it was too much for me. I’m a comment reader so I read each and every comment; that’s the thing. So for me, I could spend 80% of my day reading comments.
”I’d read the comments and all and it became toxic for me. I use Instagram but I did limit my comment section one time.”
Recall that Chidimma had faced criticism in South Africa when she contested for Miss South Africa.
Following the backlash, the South Africa Department of Home Affairs, DHA, revealed that evidence suggests Chidimma’s mother committed fraud and identity theft.
Speaking to Arise 360, Chidinma stated that the overwhelming and often negative feedback prompted her to leave the platform.
