Jim Iyke, the superstar Nigerian actor and widely acclaimed Nollywood “Bad Boy”, has chosen his favourite between the two Nigerian leading Afro-pop stars— Wizkid and Davido.
In a recent interview with Net the actor declared his respect for the duo. But when pushed, he pitched his tent with Davido.
According to him, Davido has made a huge success of himself regardless of his background, which ordinarily should have made him complacent.
He said: “It’s not easy to be a rich kid and still go on and work. I don’t think I will be this hardworking if my dad was a billionaire.”
His real name is James Ikechukwu Esomugha, and he is a native of Enugu Agidi town in Anambra State, Nigeria. However, he was born in Libreville, Gabon.
Jim Iyke is a graduate of the University of Jos, Plateau State. He has a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) degree in Philosophy in addition to a diploma in Banking and Finance from this school.
He started acting movies in 2001 and since then has acted in more than 150 films. Jim Iyke is one of the highest paid actors in Nollywood. In addition to acting, he is also into production and started his Untamed Productions in 2007, his own movie production company.
Jim Iyke is a also into music and has a music label named Untamed Records. He has an album to his credit titled ” Who Am I” and he featured high profile music artists like Sound Sultan and 2Baba Idibia.
Jim Iyke biography cannot be complete without mentioning his humanitarian activities. He has a foundation named Jim Iyke Foundation for Children with Special Disabilities. Jim Iyke has also been actively involved in other charity events .

Jim Iyke is the only male child in a family of eight children. His parents names are Mr and Mrs Stephen Okolue and they are from Enugu Agidi town in Anambra State. They relocated back from Gabon back to Nigeria while Jim Iyke was still very young.
