If development reaching Nigeriafilms.com is anything to take something out from, there is a big trouble for estranged artiste of Don Jazzy’s Mavin Records, Wande Coal, fondly called ‘Black Diamond’ by Don Jazzy.
The dark-skinned artiste may be swimming in an alleged theft scandal which may land him in prison if care is not taken about the issue very fast.
Going by a series of tweets by Don Jazzy, Wande Coal may have stepped on the cobra’s tail, and that shows an imminent danger lurking around for Wande Coal. As the Yoruba’s would say, ‘there is danger in Longe’s farm, Longe himself is danger’. You call that a dilemma? That’s what really describes the state of things now.
Don Jazzy is embittered and if nothing is done to cool the raging fire in the Don’s nerves, Wande Coal may be burnt by a coal, which might make him become darker like an ‘original Black Diamond’, as Don Jazzy said introducing him in Wande’s hit song, ‘The Kick’.
Don Jazzy has accused Wande Coal of stealing his song without giving him credits for it, which is called an intellectual theft, which can be treated as a criminal offence.
An angry Don Jazzy went on twitter to ask, “how long will i continue to sweat and some people will choose to steal from me. I am nice and easy going doesn’t mean you should disrespect me
“@WandeCoal PLS do the right thing bro asap. God bless.
“@wandecoal, I’m glad you now know that there is a God. if i want to stop you, why would i do ‘The Kick’ with you introducing Black Diamond (his record label)?
“@wandecoal, if i want to stop you, why would i allow you release ‘Rotate’ without my company credit. Why would i allow you perform around the world?
“I can decide to shut him (Wande Coal) down with one call, but didn’t. All i ask for is “give me my credit” and nothing else.”
Nigeriafilms.com contacted Wande Coal manager, Nana, but another person spoke with us on his behalf. We were told that “for now, there is no comment [on the issue] from Wande Coal’s camp.”
Meanwhile, calls place to Don Jazzy’s phone number by Nigeriafilms.com was not responded to. Also, as at press time, text message sent to Don Jazzy was not replied to.
