Imagine the shock of everyone when a Dangote truck fully loaded with millions of Naira worth of marijuana, was arrested by men of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) in Edo State.
A video showing this had the company’s name and logo was parked as some men in NDLEA emblazoned vests, surrounded it while some others spoke to some of the people gathered around the scene in the video.
“Dem see say Dangote, nobody go stop am,” a voice was heard from the background. “You know why dem go suspect, you know why dem go suspect, the slate 1 and 2 dem no arrange well,” two voices explained. This could probably be the reason NDLEA officials got suspicious and discovered that the truck was transporting marijuana. One of the witnesses present on the site, showed an exhibit of the marijuana which was wrapped in a plastic bag.
The Nigerian Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) and the Dangote Group of Companies are yet to release official statements in reference to the incident, as at the time of reporting.
