Popular Nigerian actress, Uche Jombo Rodriguez has started a serious conversation about surrogacy.
In a tweet on social media Twitter, she questioned when Nigerians will start considering surrogacy as a child birth option.
She wrote: “When can we start discussing surrogacy as an option in Nigeria. Without people feeling ashamed or afraid to say I used one?”
Interestingly, her tweet attracted several response including one from the Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, Director General of the World Trade Organisation (WTO).

Reacting to Jombo Rodriguez’s tweet, Okonjo-Iweala tweeted: “Even till now, some people still conderm/shame people that had caesarian section as a method of child delivery.”
As at 5:11pm on Thursday, May 20th, the tweet which has been liked by several individuals including Kate Henshaw had gathered 136 Retweets, 21 Quotes Tweets and 966 Likes.
