Nollywood veteran actor, Saidi Balogun has blasted those attacking his colleague, Toyin Abraham for arresting some alleged online bullies.
Recall that NIGERIAFILMS reported that Abraham reported two netizens to the cybercrime unit of the Nigeria Police Force (NPF).
The arrest of these people who harrased and threatened the actress and her family online has decided Nigerians on social media.
While some people hailed the actress, some others bashed her for her decision, tagging it an abuse of power.
Reacting, Balogun knocked those blaming Abraham, noting that the outcry was because she was a celebrity.
He also suggested that the people complaining are hypocrites because they report their neighbours to the police and arrest them over trivial issues.
His words, “You use police to arrest your neighbours for the most minor things, e reach celebrity turn, you say it’s bully. Stop the emotional blackmail, celebrities are humans just like you.
“You are free to say what you like right? Let celebrities be free to take whatever actions to protect their mental space. Freedom should not be selective. God bless.”
