Few days after the tickets of the highly anticipated concert, TOP10 MICS, went on sales, reports from the sales points which include; Ozone cinemas, Genesis cinemas, Swe Bar, Shakara Clothing, KFC outlets ( Adeola Odeku, Apapa, City Mall, Ogba & Surulere), UNILAG FM, ASCON Filling Station, Ogba have reported massive sales of the gate pass. The gate pass which went on sales last week Thursday have sold out with minimal efforts.
“For us at KOGA Entertainment, we are a little surprised at the response to sales. The sales outlet and our sales representatives have reported huge sales within four days. We were shocked because we didn’t know people were expecting it that much and the large turnout at the pre-concert party was show us that TOP10 MICS is already a hit’ Idris David, a production personnel of KOGA said.
TOP10 MICS will feature 10 artistes who are billed to perform live on stage at the Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS), Lagos. The choice of artistes at TOP10 MICS is akin to an eclectic collections of different genres of music ranging from Hip hop, R n b, Fuji to Afro juju and Dancehall. ‘it is a concert that has something for everyone’ if Hip Hop, Fuji, R n B, Dancehall, or Juju is your take, we have something for you on the 23rd at TBS.
Tickets to the much talked about concert has been pegged at two thousand naira (N2, 000) before the event, three thousand naira (N3, 000) at the gate and ten thousand naira (N10, 000) for VIP.
The December 23rd concert will have the likes of 2face Idibia, Eldee, Mocheddah, Sir Shina Peters, Femi Kuti, Duncan mighty, MI, P square, Obesere and Wizkid perform with liveband. Fans will have the chance of seeing 2face Idibia, Sir Shina Peters and Eldee perform some of their new tracks which were recently released.
The concert which is gathering momentum with support from the many sponsors held a successful pre-concert party at upscale celebrity hangout, Swe Bar with Wizkid dazzling the crowd. The lounge of Swe bar was filled, those who won tickets from the online platforms also came to collect their tickets at the venue and there was sheer excitement and enthusiasm on their faces as they partied with their favorite celebrities, the likes of former Big Brother Africa winner, Uti Nwachukwu, prolific filmmaker, Kunle Afolayan and the utunu crooner, Lynxxx to mention a few gave the audience something to cherish as they thrilled them with their dance styles.
‘’ We want to make a very big statement with this concert, we are doing open air concert the way it should be done. KOGA is doing everything humanly possible to make sure that the memory of the event lingers on in the minds of people several months after’’, Anu Awoseyi, an official of KOGA said.
Speaking on the security at the event, Anu promised that there shall be no case of any bad incident on the day. ‘We have put adequate security measure in place. All necessary steps have been taken; people should be rest assured that they will be safe on the day’.
