To some people, he left because he got a mouth-watering deal with BET, US, while others believe he quit because he made a lot of money in the role he played at Funke Akindele’s movie, “The Return of Jenifa.” There were those who insist he fell apart with his boss, Tajudeen Adepetu over non payment of salaries.
But the controversial producer and presenter in a recent interview with Vanguard, said he resigned because he felt it was time he moved onto other challenges and break new grounds.
He said he’d worked with Sound City for six years and needed freedom to try reach out to other fields. And his particular area of interest according to our source is acting.
It will be recalled that Denrele started off with acting at a tender age and so it wasn’t surprising when he performed credibly in the Funke Akindele’s flick. So if he pitches his tent in Nollywood , most people won’t be surprised.
