Recently, publisher of Genevieve magazine, Betty Irabor, shared an interesting story about a lady who was involved in domestic violence all through her marriage with her husband until she summoned the heart to walk out of the marriage.

After sharing the story, Betty advised ladies to learn how to take the bull by the horn by ending a marriage that might end up taking their own lives due to a man that is not matured enough to respect his wife.

Such a topic will sure attract individual opinion and experiences and one of such who came to call her attention was Toke Makinwa’s ex hubby, Maje Ayida, who asked Betty to also talk about men who suffer domestic violence in the hands of a woman.

In his word, “would love to know your view of men in abusive relationships as well.” But Betty admitted that men going through challenges is a reality but are too ashamed to share their experiences.

Betty affirmed that some women tend to bring out the beast in a man but a real man will never hit his woman.

In her words, “I am not disputing that men also suffer domestic abuse. I agree that women also can bring out the beast in a man but real men don’t hit women. I will address the men perspective soon, I promise.”
