The internet has been agog since the photo of a newlywed went viral. The newly-wed couple are from Northeast China.
Wu Jianfeng and Jiang Xue surprised many when they decided to gift each other a wedding present, and it was no other than snakes.
During the wedding ceremony, the bride Jiang gave a 15-kg female Burmese python to the groom, who in turn gave the bride a 30-kg male Burmese python to her.
The Burmese python given by the groom is said to be one of the five largest species of snakes in the world.
This strange occurrence has gotten many talking about the couple who is said to animal rights activists.
The couple is said to have rare species at home including spiders, lizard, pythons and birds, among others. They also have the record of rescuing many wounded animals in the past.
