Terry G narrates how slapping DJ affected his career
Nigerian veteran singer, Gabriel Oche Amanyi, popularly known as Terry G, has narrated how his career was negatively affected after he slapped a DJ years ago.
The musician recalled that the DJs Association of Nigeria, DJAN, blacklisted him back then.
Speaking in the latest episode of the Afrobeats Podcast, the ‘Akpako Master’ admitted that the incident affected his growth as an artiste.
Recall that Terry G stirred controversy after slapping DJ Jimmy Jatt’s protege, DJ Phreez, at an event in Lagos on June 5, 2016, for playing another artiste’s song in a bid to get him off stage.
Terry G, however, added that he later apologised to the DJ Phreez and his boss, DJ Jimmy Jatt.
