Nigerian singer Gabriel Amanyi, better known as Terry G, has come through with ‘Omo Dada’, his latest single.
The 34-year-old Benue-born musician took to his social media page to announce the release of the project to his numerous fans.
The less than five-minute song sees the ‘Adura’ crooner craving unconditional love in his relationship with an estranged lover.
“She loves me not because of money…she loves me very well and won’t fall me,” he can be heard singing while extolling his lover’s numerous attributes.
He, however, appealed to his woman not to destroy their peaceful relationship by giving attention to people’s criticism of him.
Born on March 17, 1986, Terry G has etched his name on the minds of fans with his often controversial approach to music.
In February, the music star had described himself as the “Jesus” of Nigerian music, claiming that he pioneered several trends now holding sway in the country’s entertainment industry.
“I’m the Jesus of Nigerian music, I’m not the Christ. The Christ is the savior, Jesus is a name, and for the fact that Jesus is the most popular name that died for us and sacrificed for us,” he had said.
The “Akpako master”, as he is fondly called, received critical acclaim for his unique brand of music and personality.
Through his songs, he has admitted to using drugs and alcohol. In September 2014, he told Jane Augoye of The Punch that he has stopped taking hard drugs.
He has cited 2face Idibia as his greatest musical mentor.
