Report reaching Nigeriafilms.com indicates that former Flying Eagle star, Haruna Abdulkarim Lukman has established a football academy in Lagos. The move, according to information reliably gathered by Nigeriafilms.com, is aimed to take off kids off the streets of Lagos.

Lukman, who has also played for the Super Eagles, and presently plies his trade in Ukraine with Dynamo Kyiv, set up the football academy in Agege area of Lagos in order to help young and talented Nigerian footballers in the city.

The academy is being managed by brothers; Fatai and Akeem Haruna. The academy is called Hartoy Football Academy.

Haruna first played for Moderate Stars Academy and Global Crystal Academy in Nigeria. In January 2008, he signed for Ligue 1 side, AS Monaco, after he was wanted by other top European clubs like Real Madrid and Bayern Munich.

On 25 May 2009, he signed his first professional contract with AS Monaco, which ended on June 30, 2012. Following Monaco’s relegation at the 2010–11 season, he penned a five-year contract with Dynamo Kyiv.
