After a dramatic draw with South Africa at the African cup of Nations qualifiers which saw the defending champions Nigeria not being able to defend the title they won last year, Super Eagles captain, Vincent Eyeama, has called on Nigerians to be understanding as they did their best.
The Eagles captain explained that the Nigerian side was not too fast nor too strong but believes that the team will do better in some competitive competition in the future.
It would be recalled that the Super Eagles got a draw with their South African counterparts while Congo defeated Sudan by a loan goals to pick the group’s second position with South Africa leading the group.
According to him, “The race is not swift, the battle is not to the strong. we were neither swift nor strong. but we thank #SUPERGOD for HIS sufficient grace throughout the ill-fated AFCON qualifying campaign. #WE ARE NIGERIA. #PROUDLY NAIJA #no matter what lose or win. #I want to say a big thank you to every fan, supporter, critics. without you guys, we couldn’t have made it this far.we will get back up and push towards the glory land.” © 2014Nigeriafilms.com
