Trophy’s ambassador, Femi Adebayo, has ceased promoting the beer in Ilorin, the capital of Kwara State where he hails from.
The actor became trophy’s beer ambassador since September 2015, he was mostly used in the advert of the alcoholic beverage and mostly billboards.
In his home town in Ilorin, he was used in all the billboard adverts, but the Muslim clerics had told him to stop promoting the beer in state.
Muslim clerics invited him to a meeting and advised him to stop promoting the beer in Ilorin, and remove those adverts that had him as model on billboard,” source familiar with situation told our correspondent.
Well the actor has heeded to this advice as all the billboards in Ilorin now have new models on it, but the actor is still modeling for the brand as his photos are still in use in other parts of the state.
Femi Adebayo was a special adviser for the governor of Kwara Gov. Abdulfatah Ahmed on Arts, lifestyle, and Tourism before the Governor dissolved his cabinet.
