Rumours making the rounds have it that the Noble Laureate, Professor Wole Soyinka is back to Nigeria a day after the Republican presidential candidate was declared the winner of election.

The  Nobel Laureate who has always supported Hillary Clinton to win the election had earlier said before the election that he would leave the States and tear his green card should Trump emerge winner of the election.

I presume he has started keeping to his word as he was seen on a flight back to Nigeria. What next after his return? Nigerians expect him to tear his card as promised.

Meanwhile, after several calls from Nigerians to tear his card, his response was quite different from what he said earlier. “Why don’t we wait until Trump actually takes office? I am just going about my normal commitments, but definitely not getting into any more commitments. Let’s put it that way for now.”
