Behind the cloud comes the silver lining. This truism seems to describe foremost sports-caster, Aisha Falode’s present state of mind.
Falode, Confederation of African Football committee member to the just concluded African Cup of Nations appears to have shrugged off the pain of her recent loss as she has been going about her business in high spirit again away from the immediate past gloom that pervaded her world when her only son, Tobe Falode, was reportedly killed in fishy circumstances far away in the United Arab Emirate when Toba was schooling.
The 19-year old Toba, known in the music world, as Tyler Fray, died on February 15, 2014, in Dubai, UAE, after he was allegedly pushed down from a high rise building by a Saudi billionaire’s son, Faisal Aldakmary Al-Nasser.
Initial reports had it that Toba died in an auto crash but fact finding report by the deceased mother, Aisha, alongside the family lawyer, Barrister Festus Keyamo, however, countered the claim. Their finding revealed that the late rapper was actually thrown down from a Manchester Tower to his death after a heated argument with the said Faisal Aldakmary Al-Nasser.
He was buried at Vaults and Gardens, Ikoyi, Lagos, on Monday, March 3, 2014, after a funeral service at Pastor Ituah Ighodalo’s Trinity House, Oniru Lagos.
Efforts are still on-going to make sure that justice is done to the case of Toba murder.
