Not many are enjoying great opportunities some veteran musicians enjoyed during their time especially from talent hunt shows which saw the companies involved keeping to their words by pushing the artiste.
One of such who has benefited from a talent hunt show is dance-hall singer, Edward Inyang better known as Blackky, back in the days.
The singer while going through his archive stumbled upon the trophy he won back in 1990 after his talent hunt show which got him his first record deal that threw him to limelight and decided to share it with just as the trend of sharing old pictures is now common among some celebrities.
In his words, “Memories, When Blackky won the Lekki Sunsplash Talent Hunt contest in 1990 that earned him his 1st Record deal.”
Unlike some record labels today who tries to enslave their artistes, Blackky, is just one of many who was able to manage himself through the storm in the industry and was able to make a name for himself.
