Some few days ago, producer of much talked about movie, ‘The Boss is Mine,’ held guests and fans spell bound when the movie was premiered in Enugu, on January 8, 2016, as stars who featured in the movie turned up to grace the red carpet event.

After well deserved applause was given to the cast and crew of the movie for a job well done, it was the turn of Akwa Ibom state to host the premiere on the 10th of January, 2016 at Ibom Tropicana and top celebs and guests were on ground to grace the event before a sad scenario played out.

According to reports by the producer of the movie, guests had arrived the event place and were busy on the red carpet with the likes of Iyanya, Selebobo, Ime Bishop, Ini Akpabio, Mike Godson, Daniella Chioma Okeke, The Commissioner for Tourism and host of important dignitaries before the generator set suddenly went off for several hours.

It was leant that for the several hours the generator went off, the management of Silverbird cinema, never bother to show any concern and this got guests at the premeire to be apprehensive as they began leaving the venue.

According to report, “At about 4pm, Silverbird cinema power supply went off, a situation we believed a huge company like that could handle and are prepared for. To our greatest shock, this power outage last an hour, two, three and our guest got apprehensive. We approached the management of Silverbird and was told their generator got damaged. okechukwu Oku personally decided to visit the generator house to see this and was perplexed to see 4 dead generators. He was made to understand that they where waiting for their engineer to come.

“We waited till about 8:30pm then our guests started leaving. Shortly after the engineers arrival the generator powered on. Silverbird management was insensitive to the damage they were causing us as they were busy running their own business, wondering how possible that was as one of their screens was working and tickets were selling.”

The producer of the movie has threatened severe actions against the management of Silverbird for the shame caused leading to the loss of financial resources.
