Seun Kuti: Men wouldn’t ask for DNA if their wives were richer
Afrobeat singer, Seun Kuti, has stated that men won’t ask their spouse to conduct a DNA test for their offspring if their wives are more financially buoyant.
This is in reaction to the recent discussion on DNA in the Nigerian social media space caused by the alleged paternity fraud of Liam, the son of late singer, Ilerioluwa Aloba, aka Mohbad.
In his reaction via his Instagram account, Kuti asserted that demanding for DNA test is a ‘trust and power issue’.
He claimed that most of the men requesting DNA tests wouldn’t ask for it if their partners were more financially buoyant than them.
He said, “There is no way that doing a DNA test is not about trust. Doing DNA tests is a trust issue 100 percent! It’s not only a trust issue, it’s also a power issue. No man would request for a DNA test if their partners are richer than them.”
