The Nigerian Movie Industry was recently awash with stories that delectable actress Mercy Johnson may likely face ban from the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) following her controversy with Patience Ozokwor popularly called ‘Muma Gee’ and hosts of her other colleagues coupled with her near nude dress sence.
This is also not unconnected to the allegations that the Kogi State born actress maintains a high degree of closeness with some top producers and marketers to the extent that she even bribes them in cash and kind while also using that closeness to choose the people that she desired to work with on a particular set.
When the multitalented screen diva was contacted about the allegations, she denied them vehemently and said that she is too busy to have time for all such nonsense and besides how many movie producers and marketers will she bribe to achieve such bad intentions.
Meanwhile, the AGN President, Mr. Segun Arinze has denied knowledge of any ban. According to him, the Guild only oversees professional ethics of actors and actresses and does not interfere in the private lives of its members.
He further stressed that nobody can ban a talent and described Mercy Johnson as a true professional.
