Nigerian business mogul, fashion designer, creative director and a fashion stylist Toyin Lawani has pleaded with her fans not to call her a slay queen letting out her disgust towards the phrase.

On her recent post on instagram, Toyin told her fans that she is not a slay queen as slay queens are known not to work for anything rather they run after successful and rich men. She went further to enlighten her fans that her parents never spent all what they did for her to be adorned with “slay queen.”

She said;

“So sorry for all they slay Queens, I so hate the word, slaying is not Values. Hard work is what pays off; King of All Queens or Serial Entrepreneur or Business mogul or fashion mogul is fine by me. My Parents didn’t spend millions sending me to all the various schools to Attain my various degrees, to Be Called a slay Queen, A mother is even fine by me, the word is just simply irritating to me.”

Toyin Lawani had earlier reported that male Barbie Bobrisky was after her life, stating that he came to her shop with a nylon bag containing a white cloth and guinea fowl.

She said that after that incident she fell sick begging everyone to tell him to leave her alone that he wants to kill her with ‘juju’.
