Nigerian National Broadcasting Commission (NBC) has exercised it power of mandate over some viewable or listening things that are not healthy to the public’s social growth. Recently 9ice newly released song ‘Living Things’ has been banned by the commission saying its content are not good for the public’s hearing.

The singer who is not happy towards this said that he never do songs that do not add values to the life of his hearer but he has been a source of inspiration and motivation through his music.

From an interview with Punch‘s Saturday Beats, 9ice revealed that is music preach hard work among youths and not illegalities, that the ban on his song comes as a surprise to him.

“My song has been banned again?. I am surprised that they banned my songs because most of my music is to inspire the youths to work hard and ensure they do things the right way. I don’t sing songs that would encourage anyone to do the wrong thing. I have been in this industry for a while and i know better than to do such because i know a lot of people look up to me in the society.”

9ice song ‘Living things’ was questioned by rapper Falz, where he urge Nigerians to be mindful of the kind of lyrics they are listening to as it has a way of influencing them either positively or negatively.

The National Broadcasting Commission (NBC) on last week Tuesday, placed a ban on hit songs of Nigeria’s superstar singers for an alleged violation of its rules and regulations. It named Olamide’s Wo and Wavy Level; a remix of Davido’s If and 9ice’s Living Things as the culprits in a current list of banned songs and music videos that it released to the public.
