S’East: Cubana Chief Priest says insecurity forced Flavour’s dad’s funeral out of Anambra
Popular Nigerian socialite, Pascal Okechukwu, popularly known as Cubana Chief Priest, has once again spoken about how insecurity in Southeastern Nigeria has continued to force their prominent sons and daughters out of the region.
The businessman, who had earlier noted that he relocated his business from the Southeast to Lagos because of the ongoing insecurity in the region has also suggested that insecurity is the reason the funeral of highlife star Flavour’s dad was held in Enugu instead of his home state of Anambra.
Airing his view through his verified Instagram page, the socialite, who was among the celebrities who attended the funeral on Saturday, called for peace in the region.
Chief Priest appealed to Southeasterners to collectively address the issue of insecurity in the region, emphasising that it is “no longer interesting.”
The socialite mentioned that Southeasterners cannot destroy their homeland because they are being marginalised.
He wrote, “This amazing funeral was supposed to be happening in Umunze Anambra State but here we are in Enugu managing it. Umunne, we need to come together and fix this, it’s no longer interesting. We cannot destroy our own because we are being marginalised.
“We must uphold our glory by going back to our peaceful nature. We can only fight back if home is in order for proper planning. If this continues that means they have succeeded in disorganising us.
