The long anticipated London concert of Nigerian rapper, Olamide and his YBNL crew which took place at the Eventim Apollo, London Sunday was brought to abrupt end on Security and safety grounds.
The show started as expected as the hall was filled to overflow. Unfortunately as the concert was drawing to a close, and when it was about time for Olamide to do his final performance that will crown the show, the crowd from outside could no longer contain it as they were eager to see the last performance of the Rapper.
They thronged inside the hall causing a threat of safety and insecurity. The concert was eventually halted when the safety alarms in the venue were repeatedly blaring.
Speaking about the event was Junior Adeosun, CEO of Smade events who said, “With the doors opening early, DJ’s EniMoney, Unbeatable, Neptizzle and Sean alongside the Acenote band and other acts ensured the fans were in party mood before and during Olamide’s first performance.
“The only downside was the failure of Olamide to give his close off performance due to stoppages brought about by crowd trouble in and outside of the venue. With the venue at capacity the security had no choice but to close the doors refusing an angry couple hundred fans entry into the concert.
Those who performed in the show were Adekunle Gold, Sean Tizzle, Lil Kesh, among others.
