The 20th anniversary celebration of the creation of Anambra State turned tragic when one of the royal fathers who attended the anniversary summit slumped inside the Women Development Centre auditorium venue of the event and died.
The monarch,Igwe J.N Okoh,Okaomme II of Isolo,Orumba South,who was said to be in his early 80s arrived the venue with 2 other traditional rulers and his driver in his V-boot Mercedes Benz car and was about to take his seat at the reserved side for monarchs inside the hall when he slumped shortly before the ceremony took off.
Efforts were made to revive him by some younger monarchs around and a medical doctor,but all to no avail before he was rushed to the Amaku General Hospital,Awka,where he was confirmed dead,and his body later deposited in the mortuary.
