Rita Dominic shuts critic up over new movie role
Veteran Nollywood actress, Rita Dominic, has shut a critic up after he pointed out that her new movie role is beneath her status in the film industry.
According to the X user, who shamed her over her involvement in the Lekki Wives reality show, Dominic should have rejected the offer because it demeans her.
The post read, “There are certain projects your brand should outgrow, because why is Rita Dominic in lekki wives or whatever it is called? Common.”
Reacting to the critic, the actress blasted him saying he lacks artistic integrity.
Urging her colleagues not to listen to such advises, the thespian emphasised the importance of artistic integrity and reminded them that their creative expression should not be hindered by empty comments.
She kicked against limitations of Nollywood stars, urging them to always strive to release their creative energy in all platforms.
She wrote, “Dear Actors, only people who have no single drop of artistic integrity speak like this. If you listen to them you will soon begin to believe you are more important than the industry that birth you.
“You are an ACTOR, so make sure to find a way or platform to release the creative energy in you. Continue to hone your skills regardless of empty comments like this cos knowledge is never ending – yours truly, Rita.”
