When a comedian stages a show, its normal for people to believe the comedian would make a whooping sum out of the event.
But these days, few comedians have stated that unlike the thought of many, hosting a show isn’t lucrative.
In a recent interview, popular OAP and comedian, Yaw stated that staging a show is not as lucrative as many think but just have to be done to remain relevant in the industry.
For the comedian, the effort and finance invested do not yield much as comedians mostly get back money invested in the show rather that make profits.
In his words: “I just did my show, if you look at the effort and money use in hosting the show, at the end you really don’t make profits. It’s not lucrative at all; we do it just to remind our clients that we are still there and to show that we are still relevant in the industry.”
