The Rector of FODRACO Leadership Institute and Bible College, Iyana Ipaja, Lagos, Pastor Kehinde Omoleye, has decried the widespread movies that arouse prurient desire in the country. He said screen gods and goddesses have saturated the film industry, resulting to an alarming disrespect for moral values.

Omoleye stated this in an interview during the 5th matriculation and graduation ceremony held recently at Christ the Rock of Hope Ministries, Ipaja, Lagos. He said the entertainment arm of the institute, Drama College, took up the challenge of training talented actors and actresses that would correct the anomalies in Nollywood.

Pastor Omoleye decried the unhealthy competition for space among up-coming actresses in the industry a situation he said had forced some of them into immoral affairs with film producers. He called on the All Nigerian Congress of Evangelical Gospel Drama Ministers to take up the challenge of producing Christian-oriented movies that would compete favourably with other secular productions.

“In Christendom, it is not like that at all. We allocate roles to upcoming actors and actresses to afford them the opportunity to discover their talents. When people watch our films, they will repent and confess their sins,” he said. While recounting the activities of the college, the Rector said the institute had produced a cream of gospel ministers who were making positive impacts in the vineyard of God.

Omoleye said the country needs people with sound knowledge of leadership to realize the dream of making Nigeria one of the greatest countries in the world. He expressed delight that the leadership training offered in the school had equipped graduating students with requisite skills for leadership roles and urged them to invest the knowledge for the growth of the church and the nation.
