Ghanaian actress, Lydia Forson has revealed why women buy charms to attract men, according to a post on her social media page.
The Ghanaian actress in her tweet which came after s-x-charm vendor Mama Gee was arrested, blamed it all on patriarchy.
Her tweet reads ; Patriarchy is why girls are inserting things, bathing with concoctions and putting “scopatumana” into men’s food to keep them, take money from them, and steal them from other women.
When a society makes women feel like a man is all they have to live for, this happens.
The actress was born on October 24, 1984, in Mankessim, Ghana, and received her early education at Wilmore Elementary school in Kentucky.
Forson earned a bachelor’s degree in English Language and Information Studies from the University of Ghana.
Forson has featured in movies including “Phone Swap,” “A Sting in a Tale,” “In The Cupboard,” “Reflections,” “Masquerade,” undefinedamong others. She is also part of the cast for Funke Akindele’s upcoming TV series, “Industreet.”
Forson won the Best Actress in a Lead Role at the 2010 African Movie Academy Awards for her role in the movie “The Perfect Picture.”
She kicked off her acting career in 2005 with a cameo role in “Hotel St. James.”
Her first screenplay “In The Cupboard” won the Best Writing, Adapted or Original at the 2012 Ghana Movie Awards.
Her debut movie as a producer, “A Letter to Adam,” earned three Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards nominations including Best Writer in A Comedy. The movie was also selected to screen at the
