Kannywood actress, Rahama Sadau, has disclosed that she can’t quit filmmaking for marriage.
Sadau disclosed this on Wednesday in an interactive session with her fans on Twitter.
A fan had used the 30-minute session to ask the actress if she was willing to give up filmmaking for marriage.
Responding, the 27-year-old actress stated that it is surprising that women have strived and are still striving in other fields but when she takes to acting as a career, she is often criticized.
“Why quit filmmaking for marriage? Is filmmaking not an occupation? Why is it okay to have women in different areas of organization but not in filmmaking? Media for example,” she replied.
She also talked about the endless criticism of her actions by the public, saying that such backlashes are sometimes “unfair”. She added that she remains unperturbed over people’s opinions about her.
“Entirely!!!!! But I’m not bothered. it’s an open space where everybody thinks his opinion matters when it does not!!! #AskRahama,” she wrote.
Recalls that Sadau has been the subject of controversy for some of her actions.
Last year November, she was criticised by conservative Muslims for a skimpy she wore in a photo shoot.
She was also expelled from Kannywood for “hugging and cuddling” in a music video in October 2016.
