Nigerian comedians are indeed making it big in foreign countries with their stage craft as they have continued to wow many audiences at every point in time.
Sometime in June, comedian, Basketmouth received a special honour from the U.S as the city of Houston, Texas holds what it terms “Basket Mouth Day” on the 17th of July, 2015.
The Mayor of Houston, Annice D. Parker, who signed a legal document to legalise the honour said that Basket Mouth was honoured “in recognition of his commitment in uniting the communities in the city through his comedies.”
Now it is the turn of fellow comedian, Julius Agwu, as he was on Monday, December, 14th, 2015, honoured in the United States of America.
Julius was honoured by the MAYOR of THE CITY OF RIVERDALE, Georgia in USA and members of the board and council of the city of Riverdale along with his manager.
It would be recalled that about some weeks ago during the thanksgiving celebration, the comedian had picked the city of Riverdale as where he will be giving back to the society for their humanitarian services to the people in the community. He gave out 250 Turkey to some set of people.
Meanwhile, on Sunday, 13th, December, the comedian was also honoured by the African Film Awards, in London. Julius speaking on the honour stated that “it was all God’s doing in his life.”
