With the continuous rise in the case of child abduction in Nigeria and Africa at large, some personalities have been calling on relevant security agencies to map out strategies in curbing this menace.
Nollywood actress and new mother in the bloc, Tonto Dikeh, is currently perturbed by this continuous abduction reported almost every day as she has come out to lend her voice also.
She pointed out that if government and relevant agencies do not look for means of curbing the menace, it will linger and will show that there is no safe future for the girl child.
In her words, “The case of ESE Oruru and the three Lagos state students from IKorodu are clear indications that there is a great danger ahead if this barbaric act of kidnapping and abduction is not properly addressed and checkmated.
“I am so sure that there are several hundreds or thousands of young girls and minors out there all over Africa waiting to be rescued or discovered. We can’t continue to fold our hands and watch our girls (Mothers/leaders of Tommorrow) been molested. If you agree with me on this issue please join me as we all say NO to GIRL CHILD ABDUCTION IN AFRICA.”
