For the second time since the drowning of his one-year-year son, Daniel III, singer Dbanj has expressed how difficult living without him has become.
He revealed this in an Instagram post on Thursday.
Recall that Dbanj’s son died in an in-house swimming pool in their home in the highbrow Ikoyi area of Lagos on June 24.
In a post via @Iambangalee, Dbanj said, “The past few weeks have been incredibly trying and difficult, but God’s love has kept me and my family going. I can’t thank my team enough and the incredible love from you all. May God keep us all.”
Since the incident, Dbanj has avoided posting anything on his social media pages except when he posted a “thank-you” message to fans for their support through the trying time.
The multiple-award-winning musician also posted a photo of himself in a pensive mood, which attracted a new wave of condolence messages from his fans.
Dbanj was in Los Angeles, United States for the BET Awards when the incident happened.
The deceased was the only son of Dbanj and wife, Lineo Didi Kilgrow.
When the report of the incident went viral, the Lagos State Police Command had joined in condoling with the couple.
But the command also invited the couple to lodge a report of the incident after their mourning period.
The Lagos State Police Command spokesman, SP Chike Oti said in a statement, “It is expected that when the mourning period is over, the family will formally report the circumstances that led to the unfortunate death of the little Daniel to the police.”
